BUILT TO LAST

At Cotton Mill Cabinetry, we take great pride in making beautiful cabinets. We design for all types of homes and home owners. It is our philosophy that building it right the first time not only makes practical sense, but is also a good use of materials, time and energy. We strive to use the best materials and finishing products to ensure our clients are getting the best product for a reasonable price. We believe the bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. We don’t want to build a monument to ourselves with your money. We specialize in solid, well built cabinetry and will add all the bells and whistles you like. Our prices are based on labor, materials, overhead and profit. They don’t change based on the economic status of our clients. Please contact us for an appointment, we look forward to meeting with you to discuss your cabinet and furniture needs.

DESIGN

Our design services are thorough and practical. We work with our clients to try to build what they want, but at the same time keep things within their budget. A young family may have different needs than an aging couple or single person. We keep these things in mind and provide designs that not only function well in the home, but create a beautiful atmosphere as well.

We don’t limit ourselves to working only with certain types of wood or certain styles of designs. We’ve built jobs out of rustic and clear Maple, Oak, Hickory, Alder, and Cherry. We’ve even done very custom projects made out of Barn wood and Purple Heart.

A PAINTED LOOK

We also specialize in painted look cabinets. Shown here, specifically on islands, sinks and cook tops. These are finished with high quality products, and often sanded to add the “worn look”, then glazed for a final touch. These are then finished with lacquer to add durability. We take care to create these pieces as truly one of a kind.

A FURNITURE LOOK

Many of our clients add a furniture touch to an island, sink, cook top and/or hood. Often, this is combined with a painted look as well. We offer custom turnings, and maximized space in angles.

SPECIALTY HOODS

These days, a hood doesn’t have to be boring! There are so many applications, from housing microwaves, to exposed range hoods, to hoods that completely hide the appliance itself. This is an area of a kitchen where a client can really add some creativity with carvings, colors and corbels.

FURNITURE

Entertainment Centers are a great way to incorporate the technical, storage and display needs of a room. Many homeowners integrate turnings, glass, open shelves, roll out trays or drawers for movie storage, in addition to their TV and components to customize it for their needs.

We enjoy doing specialty one of a kind pieces. A table made to fit a certain size family with a lazy susan in the middle and custom turned legs to match the turnings in their kitchen.

Another idea is an island in a kitchen that contains 2 metal drawer liners and can be moved wherever the home owner needs it to be.

ACCESSORIES

One of our reps once called accessories “Cabinet Candy.” We include soft close hardware on all of our doors, and often suggest tilt out trays, roll out garbage cans, roll out trays, roll out spice racks among many other items. We have quality sources for anything you need to add to a cabinet such as hampers, baskets, mixer lifts, etc.

CABINET BASICS 101

There are different types of cabinetry to choose from, and each has it’s pro’s and cons. At Cotton Mill Cabinetry, we build a Face Frame style cabinet. We build in runs, meaning that we build sections up to 8’ long that may contain a sink opening, a drawer bank and a drawer/door section. We use solid wood in our face frames and stretchers, ¾” thermofused (think white coating, doesn’t peel) melamine for the box parts and a ¼” back. All of this combined makes for a very well built, solid cabinet. ¾” adjustable shelving is standard and we offer many types of drawers including melamine, birch plywood, and solid wood dovetail. We also offer many types of drawer guides so that we can really fit your needs as a home owner. We have many solid wood door styles to choose from.
